Syracuse, N.Y. — A man was arrested Friday after he was found with a missing Syracuse police badge, police said.

Jonathan Kirby, 54, was found on North Geddes Street wearing the badge around his neck, said Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Police. An officer reported in May that his badge was missing, he said.

Kirby showed the badge to an employee at 264 E. Onondaga St., Catholic Charities, and said he was a police officer, according to a criminal complaint filed in Syracuse City Court.
