Not two days after his 85th birthday, Ralph Lauren has launched a first for the brand: a men's jewelry line.

The classically American aesthetic that defined his eponymous fashion label for five decades is now front and center in accessories that offer a finishing touch to his plethora of barn jackets, pinstripe suits, and cashmere sweaters. There are bangles made of 925 silver and brass; bracelets made of woven leather and finished with silver; and cuff links made of sterling silver with "Ralph Lauren" carved into them.

These pieces are, of course, quite elegant. But, there's a bit of fun in this collection, too. One set of cufflinks is a nod to the Western and equestrian themes often found in his collections (did you see the recent collection set at a horse stable in the Hamptons? The venue is up for sale, by the way), and is made into horseshoes. There's also a tie bar that's crafted into a Polo Helmet bar and cufflinks made in the shape of classic Ralph Lauren slippers. Like Ralph Lauren's clothing, these accessories cater to those who want to dress elegantly, and those who also want to add a bit of personality to their look.

While the brand has had a line of watches since 2008, and has also offered accessories like wallets, belts, and ties since the conception of the brand, this is the first time jewelry will remain a staple extension to the world of Ralph Lauren. The collection's pieces range from $250 to $450 and are available worldwide at stores and online at Ralphlauren.com. Below are some pieces of the collection that our editors are coveting.
